Victims Live in the Past; Victors Live in the Future!!

Our past. We all have bad memories and some good memories in our past. Yet we always seem to dwell in those memories, sometimes leaving us stuck in our present. This article briefly talks about my struggle and motivation to change this.

Victims Live in the Past; Victors Live in the Future!!

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past." - Isaiah 43:18

Many of us live with so much regret. I sure have my fair share of them. I have found through my experiences that the worst regret I have is "Living in the Past!"

Pondering on your regrets can become ticking time bombs in your present as well as in your future. I'm sure most people including myself want to leave these devastating issues of life behind. I mean honestly I have come to the realization that foolish mistakes, childhood errors, or immature decisions are a part of life.

Sometimes it can be "Good Memories" that cause us to live in the past. Longing and wishing to feel the way you did during that special time in your life. I would imagine that this would be especially true when having lost a loved one. Never the less God never intended for us to live in such a manner.

Often what looks like an overwhelming challenge to us is the very thing that directs our path to the Lord. I know that was the case for me. During one of the darkest time in my life I called out to God and he was with me every step of the way. It's during our worst ordeals that we feel the most alone, but that is when God is there with us. We have a choice, live in the past or move on to a brighter future.

People, God is our comforter. We have to look to Him for direction in our lives. Leaving behind unrealized dreams, fading memories, and regrets is a necessary step in order to receive what God has for you. We don't know what's in the future for us but I know 100% that God does. That's reason enough for me to give up the past and look forward to the future.

I challenge you to Trust God; He will lead you to a Victorious Life!!!!

Most of us have prayed out of convenience without realizing the power our prayers have. It does take discipline but it's necessary. That's why we must pray without ceasing and always give thanks. 1Thes 5:17,18

When we think about 'Transformers' some of us think about the cartoon and movie about the cars that turn into robots. Well at least I do. I guess that was part of my childhood memories. But what does being a 'Transformer' have to do with helping us grow spiritually and know the "Will of God"? Here are my thoughts.

No, I'm not going anywhere. I just want to really say "Thank You" to the whole unplugged group and to all who have been there through the struggles. All of you have really been important in my life and I wanted all of you to know how much I appreciate you.
