Mayra's Back

Mayra talks about her experiences over the last few months and how God has taken her through into the next phase of everything.
Just wanted you all to know that I'm back!!! I was here but not really here... Thank you all for your prayers and for being so understanding. Model4Jesus website will be going under some changes so make sure you check periodically. It's great to be able to dedicate the time again to my family my marriage and such an awesome ministry...

You're all probably wondering what's been happening right??? Well to make a long story short, I had been taking care of my uncle who was a cancer patientfor the past twoyears. My mom used to help with his care but since my sister got pregnant with twins she had to fly toNY to take care of her. This left me with the responsibility of my uncle (also my hubby, 4 kids, ministry and our business to think about). Well after his last chemo treatmenthe finally decided to move to Puerto Rico to live with my aunt (his sister) who is a cancer survivor for 20yrs and has the time he deserves to take care of him. I just got back last week from dropping him off.

I don't know why God had me do this, maybe I wastaking advantage of allHis blessings, maybe I was taking my life for granted, I don't knowbut I doknow in my heart I was supposed to do this. I helped him when he was in need. He is now on Hospice since his cancer spread to his liver. When I left him in Puerto Rico last week, I was a bit worried, but he's called me almost everyday to let me know that he's fine.

I know that God is in control and if it's HIS WILL for him to be healed he will be. In the meantime I want you all to look around you and love, appreciate and cherish everyone and everythingyou have been blessed with - the good and the bad. Know that everything happens for a reason. Our lives are so connected inmany ways that we fail to see. I pray that you alltake a moment and really look around, try to take in as much as you can, understand as much as you can and love as hard as you can. Life is so short......

I leave you with this thought that came to my mind as I took care of my uncle.... The young think theywant it all, the middle agers think they have it all and the old think they know it all, the living live for tomorrow, next week or the maybe of next month, but the dying live for the now... for every moment of the day to accomplish something, anything.... before they go.

Be blessed, stay healthy, Be truthful, lovelive life and enjoy it

Your friend,
Mayra
